Earlier in the week, we finally heard details on Dark Souls, From Software’s spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls, published in 2009.  Unlike Demon’s Souls, which was published in the U.S. by Atlus, Dark Souls is being published by Namco Bandai, as part of an ongoing partnership with From Software.

Story-wise, Dark Souls is completely original. As with its predecessor, From are aiming for a high level of difficulty and intend for the player to learn from his mistakes. Dark Souls is currently slated for a holiday 2011 release worldwide. You can watch the game’s debut trailer above and find more details on the game here.
