Tecmo Koei is hosting a Dead or Alive 5 tournament in Japan that starts off with preliminary matches at the Tecmopia in Mukogaoka-Yuen. Team Ninja chose the PlayStation 3 version of Dead or Alive 5 for the event. You can bring your own controller and the characters you use have to be unmodified. I guess that means you can’t distract your opponent with a salacious costume. Fights are one round with a 60 second clock, standard life, and take place on a random stage.

Here’s the schedule for preliminary rounds:

November 18 – 13:00-15:00 at Tecmopia in Mukogaoka-Yuen

November 25 – 13:00-15:00 at Hyper Messe in Fukuoka

December 1 – 13:00-15:00 at Tecmopia in Itami

December 2  – 13:00-15:00 at Club Sega in Fushimi

December 9 – 11:00-13:00 at the Koei Tecmo Office in Ichigaya

The final bout takes place at Koei Tecmo’s Ichigaya office on December 9 from 15:00 to 17:00.
