Rising Star Games is re-releasing Deadly Premonition with extra content like a new opening movie and also a new ending. Access Games made tweaks to Deadly Premonition for The Director’s Cut like an expanding the mini-map and giving players an option to remap all of the controls.

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut is slated for release on April 30. GameStop is giving away an Espresso Suit that increases Agent York’s resistance to tiredness and hunger by three so you can spend more time exploring Greenvale and less time eating. Amazon has a Field Ops suit that boosts York’s attack and defense. I’d say the Espresso Suit is probably more useful since Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut only has one difficulty setting and Swery told Siliconera the game will be easier on PS3.

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut will retail for $39.99 in North America. We actually talked to Swery about the price of the original release, which was $20 here, but released as a full price game in Japan. Check out our interview where Swery reveals that originally the protagonist was female, modeled after either Natalie Portman or Jodie Foster.
