Diablo III Rules May U.S. Sales, Dragon’s Dogma Also In Top 10

Diablo III was the top-selling game in the U.S. in May. This represents the first time since July 2010 that a PC-only game has been the top-selling title for any given month in the U.S., according to a report from the NPD Group.   What was the July 2010 game? Why, it was StarCraft 2, of course.   In other interesting news, Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma was in the top-ten best-selling games in the U.S. last month as well. While that doesn’t tell us much about how the game actually sold, it is nice to see that the company’s efforts appear to have paid off, somewhat. Dragon’s Dogma was also well-received in Japan, where it sold over 300,000 copies in its opening week.   The top ten best-selling games in May were as follows:
