A single pack costs 238 yen (~$1.57), and it contains ten Slime-shaped candies. A rare Metal Slime candy with a harder texture may also be available in a few of the packs. Square Enix has also opened pre-orders for a ten-pack box on its Japanese e-Store, which will cost 2,376 yen and be shipped on March 30, 2024.

To celebrate the candies’ release, Square Enix is also holding a sweepstake where five lucky people residing in Japan can win a pair of plushes featuring both the regular and Metal Slime. All they need to do is to have an X account, follow the Square Enix Official Goods account, and repost the following tweet by March 31, 2024:

Slime is one of the most popular Dragon Quest series monsters designed by the late Akira Toriyama. Square Enix has also been selling various kinds of merchandise featuring the smiling monster. The items range from ice packs and slippers to suitcase covers.

The Dragon Quest Slime gummi candies are immediately available in stores across Japan’s Kanto region.
