Dragon’s Dogma 2 Update will make Starting a New Game Easier

Capcom shared plans for upcoming update for Dragon’s Dogma 2, including making it easier to start a new game, get a house, and increasing the number of character editing items available. There is currently no set date for when the patch will launch, but Capcom plans to release the new features “as soon as they are ready.”

The three most immediately impactful changes are listed as coming to all platforms. The first will allow players to start a new game from the main menu while they have an existing game already. Currently, starting a new game requires hunting down and manually deleting your save data. The second big change is that the quest leading to players buying a house will also be available “earlier in the game.” The third is the addition of extra “Art of Metamorphosis” items to the Pawn Guild store. These items allow players to change their character or Pawn’s appearance and was limited to 2 per game, with more available on starting New Game + or from the microtransaction store.

Additionally, motion blur and ray tracing options will be added to the menus of the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game, along with a few other optimizations for the Steam version.
