Dynasty Warriors: Eiketsuden Details Its Rewarding Side-Story System

Koei Tecmo has shared the latest on their upcoming strategy RPG Dynasty Warriors: Eiketsuden, with details on a new side story system, along with a bit of some story parts with Zhao Yun.

The “Tenbankyo” (Heavenly Bond Mirror) is a system that allows you to side stories with military commanders you’ve encountered before, whether they were friend or foe. New conversations unlock as you meet conditions, and by watching these stories you can get currency, items, and new military commanders as allies.

The above is a look at the basic screen of Diochan’s Tenbankyo. It shows that there’s a conversation that unlocks a fight that allows you to recruit Diaochan as an ally.

The world map shows the unlocked battle that is needed to recruit Diaochan. Jia Xu will stand in the way of Zhao Yun and his allies.

Following the conversation event, and after completing the fight that comes from it, Diaochan will join your party.

Zhao Yun will grow as he meets various military commanders that will sometimes appear as allies and other times as enemies.

While in the midst of looking for Li Xia’s powers together with Liu Bei, the group sees a sudden encounter with Cao Cao and his forces and must now fight. While you may have fought together with Cao Cao as allies against Dong Zhuo, this time they’ll appear as enemies in front of Zhao Yun in a deadly battle.

For some reason, Cao Cao is shown holding an orb that belongs to Li Xia.

After escaping from the deadly battle with Cao Cao and parting ways with Liu Bei, the group will go and meet Sun Jian as volunteer soldiers.

Dynasty Warriors: Eiketsuden will tell an original story surrounding Zhao Yun that has yet to be told.

Here’s a look at some special attacks:
