Elden Ring Patch 1.02 to Fix Frame Rate Drops

Bandai Namco released a pre-release patch for Elden Ring in order to fix frame rate drops along with a few other adjustments. The Elden Ring 1.02 patch is immediately available to download. Outside of fixing frame rate drops under certain conditions, the Elden Ring patch brings text adjustments and NPC event fixes to the game. Below is the full list of what the Elden Ring 1.02 patch includes outside of general performance issues.

  • Balance adjustments
  • NPC event fixes and adjustments
  • Fixed frame rate drops under certain conditions
  • Fixed text bugs in some languages
  • Fixed bug that prevented the Xbox wireless headset from working properly

Bandai Namco strongly advised users to download and install the patch before playing the game. Users can check to see if the patch has been applied by looking at the lower righthand side of their screen. Additionally, Bandai Namco shared the global release times for Elden Ring. This came with an infographic that reveals when the game will be available in each region. Pre-loading of the title is immediately available leading up to the release of the game.

Elden Ring will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 25, 2022.
