Kingdom Hearts X[chi] is a prequel to Kingdom Hearts, set 100 years before the first game. Five Fortellers have access to a Tome of Prophecy that said Light would fall to Darkness. The five decide to use their powers to prevent it from coming true by recruiting people to their factions and collecting enough Light to keep their part of the prediction from being realized. Players create a custom Keyblade users and join the Angius, Leopardus, Unicornus, Ursus, or Vulpeus faction, attempting to do as much good in the world by taking on quests, defeating Heartless, and gathering enough Light to make your faction the strongest.

Kingdom Hearts X[chi] began as a browser game called Kingdom Hearts X back in July 2013. The Android and Apple iOS version was released in Japan on September 3, 2015, followed by a North American release on April 7, 2016. The European version doesn’t have a release date yet.
