Who Are the IPC in Honkai: Star Rail?

The Interastral Peace Corporation is a group that is concerned with uniting planets and maintaining the intergalactic economy. They follow Qlipoth, the Aeon of Preservation. Sounds great, right? Well, maybe not. The IPC is a very controversial group. A lot of their business involves absorbing different planets into the IPC so they can be saved from the brink of destruction, “become modernized,” and/or take part in the greater intergalactic world. While the IPC has done good for some planets, saving them from whatever disaster is befalling them.

This is the case for Topaz’s home planet and is one of the reasons she joined the IPC. However, while they have saved a good number of planets, they also have done terrible things to other planets. The IPC committed numerous atrocities on Boothill’s home planet. They burned down their farms and towns, they killed the people who lived there, and they sent the survivors to tiny reservations where they were forced to fend for themselves. They did all this so they could extract the planet’s natural resources. Worse, they covered up their crimes, saying that the people were killed by some mysterious sudden tragedy.

Honkai: Star Rail the Ten Stonehearts Explained

The Ten Stonehearts are the ten heads of the IPC’s Strategic Investment Department. This department is responsible for the IPC’s business and economic relations. They also seem to have a part in having planets join the IPC.

The Ten Stonehearts each possess a gemstone which gives them their name and additional powers. These gemstones, called Cornerstones, come straight from the Aeon Qlipoth THEMSELVES. These are the identities of the Ten Stonehearts:

  • Aventurine
  • Diamond (the leader of the Stonehearts)
  • Jade
  • Obsidian
  • Opal
  • Pearl
  • Topaz

What is Jade’s Role in the IPC?

Jade is an upcoming Five Star Quantum Erudition character and one of the Ten Stonehearts. We don’t know that much about her yet, but she seems to be skilled at making as much money as possible from pretty much anything, no matter how destitute things might seem. She’s also patient, waiting for the right moment, which will reap the most benefits.

Among the Ten Stonehearts, she seems to have a higher status. She is able to recruit members (like she did with Aventurine) and is responsible for punishment and consequences, like when Aventurine shattered his Cornerstone during the Penacony arc.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation 5.
