Fate/Extella Link on PS4 will have an 8-player multiplayer mode that puts two teams of four against each other in an objective-based battle. Here’s footage of the multiplayer mode from Dengeki.

Matchmaking options include Quick Match and Custom Match. When choosing Custom Match you’ll get the option to create your own room with your own rules or search for rooms made by other players. Options include room comments, versus rules, passwords and friend-only restrictions, restrictions for how many of the same Servants you can have (option for just 1 per room, 1 per team, or no limits), and the match time with choices of 7 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and 60 minutes.

Hosts will also get the option to throw in NPCs on either team, so you can also use it as a mode for practice by going in solo with NPC allies and opponents.

Fate/Extella Link releases in Japan on June 7, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game will head Westward this winter.
