Ken Kutaragi, former chairman and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, is becoming Marvelous AQL’s External Director, according to a Nikkei report. Marvelous AQL is the developer behind Soul Sacrifice and also publishes Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, Fate/Extra, and Senran Kagura titles.

Nikkei say that Kutaragi’s knowledge of the games industry will help Marvelous AQL to develop their business both in Japan as overseas markets. The news comes following Marvelous AQL’s announcement that their foreign subsidiary, Xseed, has acquired Atlus Online and plan to expand their online and mobile games operations.

Kutaragi will assume his position as External Director at the end of June.
