Following yesterday’s Final Fantasy 30th anniversary celebration event, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy brand manager Shinji Hashimoto said in an interview with Famitsu magazine that it was only the beginning and there’s more to come. [Thanks, Hachima.]
The 30th Anniversary Ceremony was mostly about follow-up info on games, but are there any plans to announce new titles next?
Shinji Hashimoto, Final Fantasy Brand Manager: “Of course we have new titles in production. This event was a starting ceremony for the 30th anniversary, an ‘opening ceremony,’ so to speak. From here on out, we’re working on various projects. Not only limited to home console games, we’re preparing some announcements.”
This year is Final Fantasy VII’s 20th anniversary…
Hashimoto: Yes, that means there won’t be zero news. I can’t say much about it for now, but I believe Kitase might have something going on.”
