The story section of the Final Fantasy XVI official website includes information about the Eikons. These are the powerful creatures that Dominants can summon to aid them in battle. It also talks about Bearers, a small number of humans born with the ability to cast magicks without the intervention of the Mothercrystals.
Additionally, it includes a section detailing the different kingdoms and regions in the world of Valisthea. These are the Grand Duchy of Rosaria, the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, the Kingdom of Waloed, the Dhalmekian Republic, the Iron Kingdom, and the Crystalline Dominion.
The characters section of the Final Fantasy XVI website details several main and side characters in the game, showing which region or allegiance they belong to. The more prominently featured characters are protagonist Clive, his brother Joshua, their childhood friend Jill Warrick, and other Dominants in the game.
