R8 Games, the development team behind Formula Fusion, a spiritual successor to Wipeout, recently shared a quick update on what they’ve been up to, via their Facebook page. Here’s what they said:

-We have now formed a team of 16 dev’s to take this through to the June pre-release;

-We will be fully ramped up and focused from 1st of Jan;

-We have sorted out a cool swanky office;

-We have secured ‘initial’ funding to make this first stage happen;

-We are planning on doing the Kickstarter in the month of March

-There will be a new gameplay video made available exclusively (initially) mid Feb for those that have signed up through www.r8games.com;

-We have revised the handling and craft behavior to be more like that of [Wipeout 2097] and the speed will be crazy!

-The QA team we have outlined will be contacted shortly and details will be provided for the run up to June.

R8 are inviting fans to sign up to be testers for their game on their website, too.
