Ghost of Tsushima Legends Standalone and Rivals Arrives in September

In September 2021, people won’t have to own Ghost of Tsushima to play its multiplayer mode. Sony and Sucker Punch took to the PlayStation Blog to announce a standalone Ghost of Tsushima Legends. The PS4 and PS5 game will cost $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99. People can get it on September 3, 2021. Though, if someone owns the main game, they already will have it for free. A Rivals mode will appear for both versions on the day the standalone one launches.

Gear Mastery is also coming to Ghost of Tsushima’s multiplayer mode. The new level cap for gear will be 120 and add a new Ability, Techniques, and Perk Slot. To reach it, people will have to finish Mastery Challenges for 110 gear.

Here’s the trailer showcasing the Ghost of Tsushima Legends Rivals mode. This is a PVP mode with two teams of two trying to defeat the most enemies and hurt their competitors. All enemies drop Magatama you can spend on things like curses (status effects) and Shades. The first team to reach the Final Stand and defeat the enemies wins.

Ghost of Tsushima is available for the PS4, with the PS5 version arriving August 20, 2021. That’s also the same day the multiplayer mode will get an update with new cosmetics and rebalancing. A Ghost of Tsushima Legends standalone version will arrive on the PS4 and PS5 on September 3, 2021, as will its Rivals mode.
