Ghosts ‘N’ Goblins-Inspired Maldita Castilla EX Coming To Xbox One

Sidescrolling arcade action game Maldita Castilla EX, an updated version of Ghosts ‘N’ Goblins-inspired free game Maldita Castilla, will be releasing on Xbox One.

Maldita Castilla stars a young knight banishing the evil of the Kingdom of Castille after a young witch’s tears open a gate that lets demons into the world. To fight the various monsters and beasts of European folklore that now roam the land, he’ll have to use various throwing weapons, from sickles to knives.

Depending on how well players do against the game’s 19 bosses over its eight stages, they’ll receive one of four endings. Hidden items will also factor into which end the player receives.

Maldita Castilla EX adds new bosses, enemies, and stages to the original game. It will also feature some new music, as well as an illustrated bestiary that explains the myths and legends behind the game’s monsters.
