During the Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 special program, HoYoverse detailed some of the in-game events set to play out during the game’s next update period. While the events have not received individual dates yet, they will all launch after the 2.0 update arrives on February 6, 2024.
The main event teased in the showcase was called Hanu’s Prison Break. Taking place within a specific dreamscape bubble, players will take part in a prison break after a tyrranical warden bans Penacony’s favorite drink: SoulGlad. This event will feature new minigames, including one that involves aligning pinball bumpers to create a path, as well as the puzzle-platforming Mirror Maze. There will also be a section where players transform into Hanu, which looks like it may involve some kind of stealth mechanics. On top of Self-modelling Resin, Tracks of Dreams, and Stellar Jades, it appears that players will be able to pick a four-star character to keep upon completing the event. The characters shown include Guinafen, Sampo, Asta and Yukong.
The other events include:
- The Dreamchaser Bulletin – A limited time event rewarding Stellar Jades, experience materials and trailblaze energy consumables. This event appears to be a simple list of missions with set rewards for players to earn.
- Dreamjolt TV – A battle event with ‘mutators’ that change how the battles work, and will likely work in a similar way to the current Virtual Scentventure event. As well as more Stellar Jades, this event will offer Tracks of Destiny for levelling up traces as well as experience materials and relic remains.
- The Penacony Food Fest – This event will task players with gathering raw materials for creating dishes for a food event, and appears to reward consumable items as well as yet more Stellar Jades.
- Two check-in events will also begin during 2.0, the Gift of Odyssey and Starchaser’s Gift will both offer players 10 free pulls on the gacha.
- Festival Invitation – This event will allow players to create custom ‘tickets’ in order to invite lapsed players to return to the game. This event also promises a chance at physical rewards such as a PS5 or an iPhone 15.

As well as events, the Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 Special Program also detailed new mechanics and trailblaze missions coming to the game, with new characters making an appearance too.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now on PC, PS5, and mobile devices, while Update 2.0 is scheduled to launch on February 6, 2024.
