New characters in Version 2.0 of Honkai: Star Rail will be Black Swan, Sparkle, and Misha. Black Swan will be a five-star Wind Nihility and Sparkle will be a five-star Quantum Harmony. Misha will be a four-star Destruction character. Black Swan and Sparkle will have Companion Missions to let you know them better.

New enemies you’ll face off include Sam of the Stellaron Hunters and the Lordly Trashcan. The Lordly Trashcans are giant and buff trash cans who yearn to fight powerful opponents. They do not have any weaknesses by default. However, you can plant a weakness on it after attacking it. There will be new Relic Sets as well. Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters can deal more damage to enemies with debuffs. Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations can increase Break Effect.

Players will finally be able to set foot on Penacony in Version 2.0. The main story for Penacony will end in Version 2.3, and it will have a slightly more lighthearted vibe than the previous storylines. Penacony will be a luxury hotel and residents will be able to access the Dreamscape upon sleeping in it. There will also be new exploration methods, puzzles, and gimmicks. For example, you’ll be able to tune NPCs’ emotions. You’ll also be able to walk on walls and the ceilings. This is due to the Dreamscape theme, as well as to show off Penacony’s environment.

New events include Hanu’s Prison Break. Mini-games include turning yourself into a pinball and transforming into a Hanu. You can choose from several 4-star characters as a prize upon completing the event. There will also be the Dreamcatcher Bulletin event, which will help familiarize you with Penacony and give rewards. Dreamjolt TV will be a battle event and Penacony Food Fest will be a cooking event where you can send food to your friends.
