How to Access the Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue DLC

How to Start the Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue DLC

Nintendo released the 2.0.0 Fire Emblem Engage patch, and that means people who purchased the expansion pass can now start the Fell Xenologue DLC. However, it isn’t immediately available to play. You actually need to get to a certain point in the story and unlock other features before you can also take advantage of this new storyline.

How to Start the Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue DLC

First, you need to reach chapter six in the main campaign. This is because the Fell Xenologue DLC is tied to a free gameplay feature added in the 1.3.0 update, the Ancient Well.

If you’ve done so, then loading your save after updating to 2.0.0 will trigger a cutscene introducing the Fell Xenologue DLC campaign. Your version of Alear will be talking with Vander in front of the Ancient Well. He’ll instruct you to look at it. The game will then offer a tutorial explaining you can enter it there and visit it as you’d like.

If you are just coming back to the game and unlocking the Ancient Well and DLC access at once, first go through the process of unlocking the well at the Armory. After that, return to the well. The cutscene with Xander will play.

When you go to the Ancient Well after that point, you’ll get options to exchange items at the well as usual, access the Fell Xenologue, or change its difficulty. The three difficulty options are Normal, Hard, and Maddening. You can continue to change it, and you won’t lose or gain rewards depending on the difficulty.

Fire Emblem Engage is available for the Nintendo Switch, as is the Fell Xenologue wave 4 DLC.
