How to Evolve Galarian Farfetch’d into Sirfetch'd in Pokemon GO

Among the Pokemon in Pokemon GO with specific conditions to evolve, Galarian Farfetch’d is one of the more challenging ones. This is because it requires a degree of skill on the part of the player. You need to be good at making Excellent throws in order to get a Sirfetch’d in Pokemon GO.

The best way to get Galarian Farfetch’d in Pokemon GO year-round is to make friends. It showed up in 7km eggs. These are the ones you can get as a gift from someone you added as a friend in-game. It also means when one hatched, you get some extra candy too. However, there are times when this Pokemon will occasionally appear in the wild or via other means.

There are two things you need to do. One is somewhat easy. The other is more difficult. In order to evolve a Galarian Farfetch’d into Sirfetch’d, you first need to set it as your buddy. Then, while it is accompanying you, you need to get 10 Excellent throws while trying to catch Pokemon. This is the more challenging of the two tasks. (It took me about two months, because I’m honestly so bad at timing Excellent throws.)

The easier step is getting 50 Farfetch’d candies to evolve it. You get one candy for each 3km (just under two miles) you walk with Galarian Farfetch’d as your buddy. That should help reaching that goal.

How Should I Build a Galarian Farfetch’d or Sirfetch’d in Pokemon GO?

Galarian Farfetch’d itself is fine? It is a decent enough fighting type, but you really want Sirfetch’d when you can get it.

For Galarian Farfetch’d, you want Rock Smash as its quick attack. That’s the best option for it. For its charged move, you have a few more options. Brave Bird is the strongest one it can learn. However, if you really want a pure fighting attack with the bonus for being the same type, you could always pick Brick Break.

As for Sirfetch’d, it’s pretty good! Mainly if you’re going to go into one of the Leagues for a fight. Of its two quick move options, you have to go with Counter. It’s a fighting type that benefits from the same type bonus and is much stronger than Fury Cutter. For the charged attack, you again have some options. Brave Bird isn’t bad to keep on the character, if you need a flying-type move. Close Combat is also fantastic and does a good amount of damage due to the same type bonus.
