How to Get and Evolve Cutiefly in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

If you want the most adorable Fairy-type Pokemon in all of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC, look no further than Cutiefly. Its evolution line is by far one of my favorite from Generation 7, and you can now catch Cutiefly and evolve it in The Teal Mask DLC. Here’s what you need to do to get this Bug and Fairy-type Pokemon.

First off, you’ll want to catch Cutiefly in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet before you can get its evolution, Ribombee, unless you happen to transfer it from Pokemon Home. Fortunately, it’s quite easy to find Cutiefly in the DLC. In fact, it was one of the first Pokemon I found in the game on the road that leads from the Kitakami bus stop to Mossui Town.

It is a bit hard to spot since it is so tiny, but it is quite easy to catch once you engage it in battle. Once you have a Cutiefly in your party, you’re now ready to evolve it into Ribombee.

How to Evolve Cutiefly Into Ribombee

To get your Cutiefly to evolve into Ribombee, this is by far one of the easiest evolutions you’ll find in the game. You don’t need a specific item or trade or anything like that, as you just need to level it up to level 25 or higher. Once it hits this level, it can evolve into Ribombee.

If you need to level it up some more, the best way to do this is to use XP candies or Rare Candies to level it up some. Or, you can just battle with Cutiefly in your party to level it up. If you’ve already beaten the main story in this game like me, chances are you’ll find Cutiefly in the level 50s range and a single level up will get it to evolve into Ribombee.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s first DLC, The Teal Mask, is available on Nintendo Switch. The Indigo Disk will release in Winter 2023.
