What Are All the New Pokemon in The Teal Mask DLC?

The Teal Mask is the first part of the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC bundle for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, bringing new Pokemon and more for you to check out. If you’re wondering how many Pokemon are in the new DLC and what they are, you’re in the right place.

There is a grand total of around eight new Pokemon for you to find and capture in The Teal Mask. You have seven totally brand new Pokemon and one additional form for an existing Pokemon, similar to a regional form in a way.

All New Pokemon in The Teal Mask DLC

When you venture into the land of Kitakami, these are the totally new Pokemon you couldn’t get anywhere else that you’ll be able to collect in the game:

  • Blood Moon Ursaluna: This is a new form for Pokemon Legends Arceus’ Ursaluna.
  • Dipplin: The third branching evolution for Applin. It requires the Syrupy Apple item to evolve.
  • Fezandipiti
  • Munkidori
  • Okidogi
  • Ogerpon: Mascot legendary for this first DLC pack.
  • Poltchageist: Similar to Sinistea, but a completely new Pokemon based on matcha.
  • Sinistcha: The evolution of Poltchageist and similar to Polteageist, but an entirely new Pokemon.

Overall, the DLC doesn’t have a ton of new Pokemon for you to catch but just enough to warrant a fun adventure in the Kitakami region. There is, strangely enough, a lot of love for the Galar region and Generation 8, despite that being the previous generation in the Pokemon series.

While there are only eight Pokemon in this DLC, there are some parts that bloat this number a bit. For instance, Ogerpon has four different forms based on the mask it is currently wearing. This changes its appearance some and adds to the overall content.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Part 1, The Teal Mask, is available for Nintendo Switch. Part 2, The Indigo Disk, will release in Winter 2023.
