How To Trigger Shadow Over Petrichor

You can trigger Shadow Over Petrichor by going to the island of Petrichor and heading towards the village. The Teleport Waypoint on the west-most part of the island will be automatically unlocked, so you can easily travel there.

A man with a statue's head speaks to the player, saying, "The burden of fate is not something mortal souls can bear. But 'Phobos' shall weave the path of fate on our behalf, leading foward to the path of justice."

Shadow Over Petrichor Opening

Once you approach the men on the path to the village, you will trigger a cutscene. After that, defeat the bandits, and you will trigger the second cutscene with the statue. After that is finished, you will officially trigger the opening to the quest. Next, head towards the clock tower to talk to the Bellringer about how strange the people who live here have been acting.

How to Find and Unlock the Ruins in Genshin Impact

Head to the ruins, which are located behind the mountain. As you approach the ruins, you will awaken a statue which you will have to defeat. You can easily take it down by destroying its shield and hitting it with as many moves as you can. While its shield is down, it cannot move or attack you.

After a certain amount of time, its shield will regenerate, and it will resume attacking you. After the battle, you will be approached by a cat, triggering the next cutscene. During this cutscene, you will unlock the barrier over the underwater tunnel. But before you move on, don’t forget to grab the chest from near where the statue once stood.

Dive down the tunnel and take the water current towards the area known as the Faded Castle. There will be a Teleport Waypoint you can unlock once you enter the Faded Castle.

Follow Osse into the castle. Walk down the hall, where you will trigger the next cutscene with Osse. If you’re just looking to challenge the Statue of Marble and Brass to get your Fragments of a Golden Melody, don’t worry about all the details with the music box. It’s important for the quest that follows, but isn’t necessary to unlock the boss.

After you finish the previous cutscene, turn back and jump off the balcony. Next, take the nearby staircase that leads downwards. Take the passage underground, but ignore the shining lights and musical notes. They will not lead you to the Statue of Marble and Brass.

Head towards the small cave with the Teleport Waypoint with a glowing red treasure chest nearby. Head up the stairs and you will find yourself in the room with the Statue of Marble and Brass waiting for you.
