How To Pick A Version Of Idolm@ster SP

Recommended Videos

The Idolm@ster SP is available in three different versions, Perfect Sun, Missing Moon and Wandering Star. This may leave importers wondering which version to import. If you’re considering getting the game, you’re going to have to do some research and look at the characters available in each game.

Your first stop should be the official Idolm@ster SP website. Take a look at the character section there. Since you’re going to be looking at and watching the idols practice and perform, it’s a good idea to get the version with the idols you think are cutest. Wandering Star has Iori, Yukiho, Ami & Mami and Takane as it’s main stars. Perfect Sun has Makoto, Haruka, Yayoi and Hibiki. Finally, Missing Moon has Chihaya, Azusa, Ritsuko and Miki.

Explore each character profile and take the time to learn about the character. See if the personality and backstory sounds interesting to you as well, since you’ll be spending a lot of time with each idol while trying to make her a star.

Your next stop should be YouTube. Yes, YouTube. Search for Idolm@ster SP and watch some of the character performances. Some of the characters, for example Ami&Mami, Yayoi, Iori, Hibiki and Ritsuko, have extremely high pitched voices some players may find annoying. Ami & Mami’s voice especially has a certain… quality that some gamers may find unappealing.

Don’t believe me? Let’s take a look at a YouTube video from ImasPSP that shows Ami performing “Suta→ Tousuta→” in Idolm@ster SP: Wandering Star.
