How You Can Heal Yourself In The 3rd Birthday

0

imageDengeki PlayStation has a huge feature on The 3rd Birthday. The magazine talked about costumes, there are ten to find in the game, and more importantly gameplay details.

One way Aya Brea can heal herself is by equipping a healing over energy DNA chip. Every time you use the overdive system to enter another person’s mind you have a fixed chance to recover life. Alternatively, Aya can heal with the cross healing chip, which gives players a fixed chance to recover life when you trigger a crossfire attack.

Before a mission starts Aya can pick weapons to bring with her. While each character Aya dives into has their own weapons, Aya retains whatever weapons she equipped. Players earn BP by shooting the Twisted. You can use this to purchase new weapons or repair Aya’s costume. In an interview with the magazine, Hajime Tabata, the game’s director, says there are a lot of restart points in easy mode. The game is designed with a high level of difficulty and you have to utilize the overdive system to move on.

Yoshinori Kitase, Executive Producer, explained the concept of The 3rd Birthday is not a Parasite Eve sequel, rather a "restart" for the series. While Tabata made many of the game’s maps, Kitase created the final dungeon. [Highlight to see what may be considered a spoiler] The last dungeon has a Final Fantasy feel to it. With many enemies, this area has a high level of difficulty. Players will have to be on their guard at all times here. [End spoiler]

Famitsu brought us news about another costume, the Santa soldier, which you can see above.
