According to Dengeki PlayStation, Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 isn’t as complicated. The magazine shows Nepgear, the purple-haired main character, with healing abilities. The combat system in Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 is still combo based, like other Idea Factory/Compile Heart titles. One change is players have two meters – AP and SP.
SP builds up when you take and deal damage. You use this to transform into goddess form and switch characters. Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 puts eight characters in one battle; the other four in the back row.
The magazine also mentions two characters from the criminal organization Underling and Warchu. Compa saved Warchu and the convict has been a wild fan of hers ever since.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 is slated for release on August 18 in Japan. The PlayStation 3 game has not been announced for North America, but NIS America’s President said "no problem" when we asked about a possible localization.
