Before a battle begins, players construct a 40 card deck with warlords, buffs, strategy, and messenger cards. Warlords act as units would in a strategy RPG. Once placed, you can move them on a grid based battlefield and target the enemy’s commander. The battle continues until a commander is defeated or someone’s deck runs out.
If you heard of this sounds familiar you may be thinking of Hototogisu Ran, which Irem released back in 2008. Hototogisu Tairan has revised rules and new cards.
Hototogisu Tairan is scheduled for release on September 9.
