The latest Splatoon 3 Splatfest will ask players to choose between three flavors of ice cream. As always, each team is represented by a different member of Deep Cut. Shiver represents Team Vanilla, Frye represents Team Strawberry, and Big Man represents Team Mint Chip.

The previous Splatfest in May 2023 was themed on The Legend of Zelda, celebrating the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It asked players to choose between Power, Wisdom and Courage, with Power ultimately taking the victory. Other previous Splatfests have included Pokémon types, chocolate flavors and cryptids.

In addition to the Splatfest announcement, Nintendo confirmed more Challenges coming to Splatoon 3. The only one shown off in the announcement was Foggy Notion, which reduces visibility. Challenges are a new addition to Splatoon 3. These are themed battles that change on a fixed time rotation, usually lasting for a couple of hours. They were added as part of the Sizzle Season.

Splatoon 3 is out now for Nintendo Switch. The ice cream flavored Splatfest kicks off on July 14, 2023.
