Kotobukiya Announced an Official Armored Core VI Model Kit

Kotobukiya announced it will be releasing a new plastic model kit based on the upcoming Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. This release would join the list of plastic models based on the Armored Core franchise by the company. However, not much information has been revealed yet about this new arriving model. There’s also no silhouette or preliminary art.

If you check on the official Kotobukiya site, you can find an image announcing the project. As for the information segment, the product name is listed only as “Armored Core 6 New Plastic Model Kit”. On the same note, the release date and scale appear as to be determined. Nonetheless, the company has already clarified that it will share more information in the near future.

It may come as a surprise that Bandai Namco is not in charge of producing this new model, as the company is the distributors of the game and are also the creators of the official Gundam model kits. However, Kotobukiya has been the one releasing the games’ official plastic models, such as the CO3 MALICIOUS R.I.P. from Armored Core: Verdict Day, and the Rayleonard 03-AALIYAH from Armored Core 4.

It’s also worth remembering that the Armored Core VI Collector’s and Premium Edition will also feature a special figure based on one of the mechs to appear in the game. It is not yet known whether Kotobukiya’s model will be based on the same machine or another one that has not yet been revealed.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on August 25, 2023.
