Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE may not play exactly like Fire Emblem or Shin Megami Tensei, but the Nintendo Wii U game combines ideas and concepts into both games. In the latest round of screenshots, we get to see a lot of things it has in common with both series.
In Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Itsuki Aoi, Tsubasa Oribe, and Touma Akagi are recruited by the Fortuna Entertainment Talent Agency after Tsubasa, a pop star, is almost kidnapped by Mirages. Because Itsuki, Tsubasa, and Touma were able to summon the Chrom, Caeda, and Cain Performas, they’re considered the perfect candidate to take down Mirages in turn-based battles while exploring Idolasphere dungeons.
The latest round of screenshots goes over Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE’s similarities with the games that inspired it. In some screens, we see Itsuki and Chrom, Tsubasa and Caeda, and Touma and Cain in front of Tiki as they realize new Radiant Skills. Even though the Performas may not look exactly like Chrom, Caeda, and Cain, Itsuki, Tsubasa, and Touma’s outfits bear a passing resemblance. The boss in the images is based on Aversa, from Fire Emblem Awakening, and looks a little like her. Finally, in one image, we see Itsuki knows Shin Megami Tensei abilities like Zio, Cleave, Rakukaja, and Dia.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE will come to the Nintendo Wii U on June 24, 2016 in both North America and Europe.
