Limited Run Games Retail Store Opens at the End of April

The Limited Run Games retail store will open its doors on April 30, 2022. The retailer, which previously only sold games through its official website and stores like Best Buy, is about to have its own storefront in Cary, North Carolina. Its grand opening event is set for the end of April 2022, though the official announcement did mention people can come in for trades on April 29, 2022.

The store will carry products from Limited Run Games, as well as products like card games, books, and other gaming-related items. Used games will also be there, with the store accepting trade-ins. The announcement said 800 items will be available at launch. It specifically mentioned the first 100 people during the grand opening will get a swag bag. There will also be a contest for a prize pack.

As for special items and guests, a few came up. People associated with WayForward games will attend. In particular, Matt and Erin Bozon, Bannon Rudis, and Adam Tierney. Mega 64 will show up at the event. There will also be an outdoor market in addition to in-store items.

  • River City Girls Commemorative NES Box and Soundtrack
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game SNES Edition
  • Shantae in an oversized Game Boy box
  • Shantae: Risky’s Revenge in an oversized GameBoy box

Starting in May 2022, people will only be able to visit on certain days. It will only be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. However, while it will open for trades on April 29, 2022 and the grand opening is April 30, 2022, it will be closed on April 31, 2022.

The Limited Run Games retail store is at 107 Edinburgh South Drive in Cary, North Carolina. It will open on April 30, 2022.
