The Lost Child Gets A “Final Trailer” To Highlight The Dungeon Crawler

Kadokawa Games released a new and final trailer for The Lost Child, an upcoming dungeon crawler based on the mythos of El Shaddai: Ascension for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

The Lost Child  is made by the very same creator of El Shaddai, Sawaki Takekasu. Its story revolves around a magazine reporter named Hayato Ibuki who was investigating successive suicides at Shinjuku Station until he gets pushed by a mysterious dark-haired woman before getting saved by another mysterious woman named Barcia.

Barcia gives him a Pandora’s Box that wasn’t supposed to be opened, but unsurprisingly gets opened. It contained a device called “Gangaur” that allows the user to capture and contain angels and demons. Using this newfound power, Hayato captures demons to make his subordinates, as he searches for the mysterious woman.

Monsters in The Lost Child are known as “Astrals” and can be found in dungeons. They come in three varieties of Angels, Demons, and Fallen Angels. You can befriend them and power them up in Shin Megami Tensei demon-like fashion, which you can read in more detail here.

The dungeon crawler RPG offers plenty of post-game content with the “Infinite Dungeons” feature that will be a good challenge for your powered-up demons, and if you’re wondering how much content it offers, the developers are said to have spent 300 hours playing the post-game dungeon alone.

The Lost Child releases in Japan on August 24, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
