Mario Party Superstars Will Release for Nintendo Switch in October

During the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced Mario Party Superstars. This Mario Party title will release on the Nintendo Switch on October 29, 2021. Additionally, this entry will allow for all games to be played online. Other features will include stickers, which will allow for players to communicate with one another during the game.

This title features a collection of popular mini-games from the N64 release of Mario Party. As mentioned previously, players will be able to play these classic mini-games in online mode. One hundred mini-games will return from the N64 and Nintendo GameCube Mario Party titles. The game will also support local play.

Additionally, old Mario Party boards will return in this entry. This includes the Peach’s Birthday Cake board. The game can be played on both the Nintendo Joy-Cons or using the Nintendo Pro Controller as well. A total of four players will be able to play together, with the supported languages for the title including Japanese, French, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Russian, Chinese, English, Spanish, Italian, and Korean.

In April 2021, Super Mario Party, the most recent entry in the series. received an update allowing for players to access game modes online. However, there were some stipulations to this. Ten mini-games out of the available list are still not available to access online.

Mario Party Superstars will release for Nintendo Switch on October 29, 2021. Pre-orders are currently available.
