Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, a downloadable compilation of Marvel Super Heroes and the first Marvel vs. Capcom game, has a release date set for September, Capcom announced today.

Both games in the compilation have been updated with online play (using GGPO) with 8-player lobbies and a spectator mode. Dynamic challenges and replay-saving have been added as well.

Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will be released in North America for the PlayStation Network on September 25th and on Xbox Live Arcade on September 26th. It will cost $14.99 (or 1200 Microsoft Points).

Oh, the screenshots of the arcade cabinet below? That’s described as an “old school over-the-shoulder view” and will be one of the options present in both games.
