Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Will Add Master Rank

Capcom revealed gameplay for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak during its TGS 2021 Monster Hunter Spotlight program. This included a better look at the new flagship monster that will appear through the expansion. The TGS 2021 presentation has confirmed that Master Rank will arrive as part of the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion.

Outside of the announcement of the inclusion of Master Rank in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, a returning monster was shown. The Shogun Ceanataur will return through the new expansion. The developers also confirmed that several monsters from past Monster Hunter titles will appear in the expansion. This will be detailed sometime in the future.

This is one of many additions. For example, the September 2021 Nintendo Direct revealed that new hunting actions, quest rank, monsters, and story-related content will appear through the paid expansion.

Additionally, a new player hub will appear, along with new hunting actions. However, these new hunting actions have yet to be revealed. No gameplay footage was shown during the presentation.

Here is the full Capcom TGS 2021 presentation looking at Monster Hunter.

Monster Hunter Rise is immediately available for Nintendo Switch. A PC version will be available on PC on January 12, 2022. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak will release in Summer 2022.
