The September 2021 Nintendo Direct kicked off with Monster Hunter news. Namely, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak will appear in Summer 2022.
New hunting actions, quest rank, monsters, quests, and story details will appear. One of these new monsters appeared during the announcement trailer.

Prior to this, most Monster Hunter Rise DLC involved cosmetic items. However, there have been a number of free updates too. For example, Mega Man‘s dog Rush is going to be in the game as a crossover costume for the Palamute.
Monster Hunter Rise is available for the Nintendo Switch, and the paid Sunbreak expansion DLC will appear in Summer 2022.
