Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is scheduled for a major update that includes an additional monster in December, and the devs are still on track for that but it might be closer to a late December release according to an interview in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

Here are some tidbits from the magazine:

  • “The Raccoon City collaboration was the result of taking a joke too far [laughs].”

  • “We’ve been seeing a lot more Hunting Horns compared to Monster Hunter: World.”

  • Kaname Fujioka, Executive Director: “I’m thinking of releasing an additional monster by the end of the year.”

The issue of Famitsu also shared some interesting stats from a recent poll: Out of 1,200 entries, 316 players have played between 500 to 999 hours and 304 players have played over 1,000 hours.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It releases for PC on January 9, 2020.
