In the statement released by Sukeban Games, the team had this to say:

For the time being, we’re changing N1RV Ann-A’s release date to an indefinite one and we’ll start shifting our public push towards other projects. N1RV Ann-A’s production won’t stop or slow down, but it also won’t be our main promotional focus for a while.

While statement goes on to mention that while N1RV Ann-A has indeed been indefinitely delayed that doesn’t mean it will not release sometime in the future. N1RV Ann-A has been shifted to “WID (When It’s Done)” as Sukeban shifts the developer’s focus. It intends to announce other projects in the coming months.

Additionally, the statement goes on to transparently lay out the development of the highly anticipated sequel to VA-11 HALL-A. Mentions of burnout, internal conflict regarding the plot, are some of the key factors that played into the delay.

N1RV Ann-A: Trouble in False Paradise was announced in 2018 as a sequel to indie hit VA-11 HALL-A. This entry was planned to release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime in 2020, but has since been indefinitely delayed.
