Bandai Namco SEA had information to share on the returning Skill Tree, Skill Program, and Magic Customize (formerly TAC Customize) systems:

– Skill Tree and Skill Program

“In Super Robot Wars X, player can acquire TacP (Tactical Points). Use TacP to enhance pilot abilities/learn new skills by developing each individual in Skill Tree and equipping them in Skill Program. All Specials developed from the Skill Tree can be learned by any pilot.”

There are several new skills in Skill Tree that debut in Super Robot Wars X:

  • First Strike: When deployed, the Persist, Charge, and Accel spirit commands are cast.
  • Rescue skill: Repair command range + 1, repaired HP is increased by 1.5x. Resupply becomes usable after movement.
  • Lucky Star: When deployed, the Fortune spirit command is cast.

Furthermore, some units have personal skills that are unteachable through Skill Program.

– Magic Customize

“Magic Customization is a feature under Factory in the Intermission menu. Learning Specials with TacP increases Magic Customize Grade which provide effects and bonuses that affect your entire squadron with each Grade level.”

Super Robot Wars X releases on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on March 29, 2018. The game releases in April 26, 2018 in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.)
