There’s a relatively new mod out there that adds a little bit of Final Fantasy VII Remake to NieR: Automata. Kekoulis made a NieR: Automata mod that turns A2 into teen Tifa. Kniouky then uploaded it to Nexus Mods.
This addition uses the Final Fantasy VII Remake Tifa model that appears in flashback scenes and uses it in place of the typical A2 model for her segments in NieR: Automata. People can download the 13.1mb file and drag and drop it into the PC game to initiate the crossover.
Kniouky also uploaded two videos of the NieR: Automata version of teen Tifa that very briefly shows what it looks like in-game. In the first one, Tifa is walking into the abandoned amusement park. The second shows how it would look when A2 fights.

As for other NieR news, there’s a Christmas special coming up. On December 24, 2020, there will be a Japanese presentation that will talk about NieR: Automata, NieR Replicant, NieR Re[in]carnation, YoRHa Girls, and YoRHa Dark Apocalypse. There will also apparently be “presents.”
NieR: Automata is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
