We’ve covered a “social acceptance of gaming” chart by Nintendo before, but that one pertained to Japan. In the company’s recent annual report, a message from Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, was accompanied by the above chart, showing Nintendo’s research on the acceptance of games in the U.S.
Below is the Japan chart for comparison. The most striking difference is the larger “Neutral” statistic in the case of the American audience.
Interesting that the “Like it very much” stat in the case of music is so much higher in the case of the U.S. than Japan as well.
