Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga series that first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018. It tells the story of Yuji Itadori, a high school student who joins the secret Jujutsu Sorcerers group in order to kill the Ryomen Sukuna curse.

The latest tankobon release, the 16th volume, will officially come out on June 4, 2021 in Japan. In the same tweet, Shueisha revealed that it printed two million copies for the volume’s first edition. (In the west, volume 10 will appear in English on June 1, 2021.)

Shueisha is also preparing special editions of the 18th and 19th volumes with additional merchandise. Volume 18 will come with acrylic stands, character charms, and 2022 calendar sheets on December 25, 2021. The following volume 19 will release with 13 portraits on April 4, 2022. Pre-orders for both sets are immediately available until August 6, 2021.

MAPPA produced an anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen, which aired from October 2020 to March 2021. It is also currently working on an anime movie of the prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which is slated to appear in 2021. Various companies and brands have also revealed merchandise related to the title, such as Syunsoku’s running shoes for children and Good Smile Company’s Pop Up Parade figure of Yuji Itadori.
