Defeat Curses in Style With Jujutsu Kaisen Running Shoes

Syunsoku will collaborate with Jujutsu Kaisen to create six different pairs of children’s running shoes inspired by various characters from show. The shoes range in sizes from 19 cm to 24.5 cm, and will cost 6,050 JPY (around $55.64 USD). In addition, the shoes will come in special Jujutsu Kaisen shoeboxes. [Thanks, GAME Watch!]

The Jujutsu Kaisen characters that will have running shoes modeled after them are:

  • Yuji Itadori
  • Megumi Fushiguro
  • Nobara Kugisaki
  • Toge Inumaki
  • Kento Nanami
  • Satoru Gojo

The character’s image is apparent in each shoe’s color and the two kanji on the sides. For example, Fushiguro’s shoes are black and light blue, and the kanji for him are “fushi” (like his last name) and “kage” (the shadows that he manipulates to use his techniques). You can preview the Jujutsu Kaisen shoe-box that comes with the shoes below.

The shoes will appear in hobby shops, anime shops, and online shops around Japan in August 2021. There is currently no set release date as of yet. Each running shoe is made with polyester and rubber. They use a front zipper, rather than shoelaces.

Jujutsu Kaisen ran from October 2020 to March 2021, and it is still readily available on streaming sites such as Crunchyroll. It will also be available on Blu-Ray, and there is a prequel film by Studio MAPPA in development. Other merchandise that were released earlier this year for Jujutsu Kaisen include Lookup figures, Kotobukiya figures, and a 1/1 scale figure of Sukuna’s finger.

The running shoes for the Syunsoku and Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration will appear in stores and online in August.
