Persona 2: Innocent Sin has a rumor spreading system where players hear juicy tidbits on the street and spread them eventually turning the rumor into reality. Think of the in-game rumors as a side quest system of sorts for Persona 2.

This week’s issue of Famitsu mentions a new kind of rumor that something is almost like being in the real world. Spread this rumor and you’ll open up a quest at the Climax Theater. Clear this quest and you’ll be rewarded with valuable items and boost the rank of your group.

While many Japanese blogs are carrying the news, a scan from Famitsu about Theater Mode has not surfaced, so we’re going to mark this (coincidentally) as a rumor until further notice.
