Pokémon Sweets Cafe Will Receive Cherry Blossom Themed Treats and New Meal Sets

The Pokemon Cafe will be debuting new menu items in Spring 2020, including sweets and new dishes. Which new dishes will be available will depend on the location you visit. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Visitors to the Tokyo Branch of the Pokemon Cafe can enjoy the exclusive Cherry Blossom Pikachu Afro line of sweets, exclusive to Spring 2020. Here’s a look at some of the treats that will be offered:

  • Cherry Blossom Afro Pikachu Fruit Sandwich – ¥1748 (roughly 15.80 USD)
  • Cherry Blossom Afro Pikachu Latte – ¥770 (roughly 7 USD)

The fruit sandwich uses pancakes instead of bread and has plenty of fruit and cream in and around Pikachu’s pink hairstyle. Additionally, Pikachu’s festive, fluffy afro is made from strawberry whipped cream.

However, visitors and trainers who visit the Osaka branch of the Pokemon Cafe can enjoy a different set of treats, all inspired by Pokemon Sword and Shield. Take a look at the new additions to the cafe’s menu:

  • “Happy Yamper Sandwich Picnic Plate” – ¥1848 (roughly 16.70 USD)
  • “Galaran Zigzagoon Crispy Cookie Tiramisu” – ¥1738 (roughly 15.70 USD)
  • “Ice Faced Eiscue’s Wiggly-Jiggly Panna Cotta – ¥1628 (roughly 14.70 USD)

Other dishes include the new “Mischevious Gigantamax Pikachu Taco Rice” dish, which will cost ¥2178 (roughly USD 19.70). There’s also the “Happy Gigantamax Eevee Hamburg Stew” set,  which is available at the same price.

Additionally, visitors who order a drink can get a limited edition coaster that features the game’s starter Pokemon and a Gigantamax Eevee and Pikachu. There is also a secret sixth coaster design.

The Pokemon Cafe’s Cherry Blossom treats will run from March 14 to April 19, 2020 in Tokyo at the Nihonbashi Store. The Sword and Shield inspired dishes will run from March 20 to May 29, 2020 in Osaka. Reservations are required and can be made online.
