Puzzle & Dragons X Gets Its First Screenshots

Nintendo and GungHo Online Entertainment recently revealed Puzzle & Dragons X as their latest installment for the match-3 puzzler series on 3DS. Here’s a look at the game’s first set of screenshots and new details.

The stage is set in “Dragoza Island,” a quiet island that is overflowing with nature and “Drop” energy. Players can provide Drop energy of fire, water, wood, light, and darkness to allied monsters, while participating in puzzle battles with enemy monsters.

There are over 500 monsters that will appear in Puzzle & Dragons X, and a new system that will let players use the powers of allied monsters through an equipment.

Everything from fields, towns, and dungeons will all be depicted in 3D graphics. As previously reported, the game will feature a variety of new content, including more RPG elements and game content.
