Q-YO Blaster will take players across eight goofy worlds, pitting them against all manner of creatures and hostile structures that have it out for them. Players will have access to several playable characters and perks to take them down with, offering a great deal of variety in how players choose to tackle these challenging areas. Players can also alter the game across several difficulty levels to adjust how they play as well.

Q-YO Blaster aims to constantly surprise the player with its collection of oddball foes and situations. Each stage offers an array of normal ships for players to fight against, but also several humorous or bizarre enemies, with the game rarely taking itself seriously. This includes the outright ridiculous bosses, which may pit the player against a living, angry building.
