Scheming Through The Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning is an adventure game with a dark sense of humor, one built around tricking other survivors into helping the player stay fed and safe during a zombie outbreak.
The player joins Hank and Larry, a pair of pals who don’t want to do a lot of work to save themselves when the zombies are on the loose. As such, they will need to put their influencing skills to work tricking other survivors into helping them, with players choosing who to try to dupe and how they intend to trick or coerce these people into finding them helpful supplies or keeping them safe.
If players make the right dialogue choices and start getting supplies brought to them, it will be up to them whether they want to keep these items, trade them with other survivors for things they need, or gamble with them to try to walk away with everything. However, they may already find themselves gambling with lives based on who they choose to trick into scavenging dangerous locations, though, so they may wish to take care with their ill-gotten supplies lest they find themselves without gear or any suckers to fool into getting them more.
