Nights of Azure’s heroine, Arnice, is half human and half demon. This means she has access to certain abilities that other people in her world don’t. Namely, she can transform into demon forms and summon Servans, demon aids, to assist her in battle.
Arnice has five transformations in Nights of Azure. They are the Armor, Demon, Nightmare, Phantom, and Rabbit Forms. Each one can alter her stats and abilities. For example, both Armor and Rabbit change her nature, with Armor increasing attack and defense, and Rabbit increasing her speed. The Demon and Phantom forms alter abilities, as the former lets her use fire and the latter makes her a sharpshooter with ranged attacks. The Nightmare Form is her most powerful transformation, with the strongest attacks.
As for Servans, Arnice can have a team of four with her at a time. Each one these monstrous assistants has his or her own abilities, with some focused on attack, defense, or support. They also have their own personalities and interact with one another. Before every mission, players will be able to decide which Servans to take with at the Hotel, also determining their equipment and doling out upgrades.
Nights of Azure will be released on the PlayStation 4 on March 29, 2016 in North America. Europe will get the game a few days later, on April 1, 2016.
